After graduating from Louisiana State University, Alicia headed west. She landed in the Bay Area and developed a passion for nonprofit work. Parenting led her to search for an education that would support her children’s creativity and help them love learning. After graduating from SCWS, her children are thriving at Santa Cruz High, where their teachers often comment on their willingness to push themselves beyond what is asked of them.
Alicia found a home in Santa Cruz and has turned her passion for nonprofit work towards fundraising for Waldorf Education. She feels that every child deserves a Waldorf Education.
What she finds in SCWS is a place where magic happens daily. She can often be found helping in handwork classes or photographing events on campus.
