Development Chair and Parent Trustee

Erin moved to Santa Cruz in 2002 to build an intentional community. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, and worked helping Bay Area cities and counties pass policies on green building, water conservation, sustainable landscaping and open space conservation. Fundraising, community building and event planning have always been an integral part of her work. Currently, Erin helps Santa Cruz homeowners create outdoor spaces that embrace permaculture, water conservation and outdoor living. Erin, her husband Justin, and their daughter Saty Mae came to the SCWS in Kindergarten in 2018. Their son, Indigo, will start the parent tot program in fall 2022. Since joining the Master Plan and Capital Finance committees in 2019, Erin has found a deep connection with the SCWS, staff, faculty and parents and is excited to help the school with their land use and development needs.
