Jim has 35 years of experience as an educator and leader in independent schools. He taught art, ceramics and art history for 13 years, was a director of middle school and a head of school. As a teacher-leader, Jim created and directed social and emotional learning programs and developed lesson units that integrated the arts and academics. He is a National Board Certified Teacher, has had his writing published in educational journals, freelanced as a consultant on teacher development, and presented at professional conferences. Jim holds a BFA from Purchase College and an M.A. from the College of New Rochelle.
