For Laura Founds, joining the Santa Cruz Waldorf School has felt like a homecoming. Over the
past fourteen years, she has been a practicing Waldorf teacher around the Monterey Bay area.
Laura graduated from California State University, Chico, where she first found a love of
philosophy. Laura’s Waldorf Teacher Training encompasses work at both Rudolf Steiner College
in Sacramento and the Rudolf Steiner Center in Toronto. Her journey as a Waldorf educator is
driven by the philosophical ideals of Rudolf Steiner, which she continues to explore in her
practical work within community, education of the child, social frameworks and beyond. Laura resides on a small farm with her husband in Aromas, where they enjoy creating with nature and playing games outdoors with friends and family.
