3rd grade Class of 2028, Board Vice President and Faculty Trustee

Scott Olmsted has been working with Waldorf Education since 1990. He is a graduate of Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology and has a Teaching Certificate from the full time Program of Rudolf Steiner College.  After taking a class 1-8 at the Live Oak Waldorf School, Scott worked at the Bay Area Center for Teacher Training before joining the executive leadership group of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America. Returning to class teaching here in Santa Cruz, Scott graduated a class of 1-8 in 2014 and continued by picking up two 6-8 middle school classes that graduated in 2017 and 2020.  Hobbies include cooking, gardening, woodworking, school governance and loving the great outdoors here in Santa Cruz.  As an active member of the Anthroposophical Society, he is a devoted student to the teachings of Rudolf Steiner.
